Home for the Holidays...

Here is a picture of my cute family... we were posing for the christmas card mom is sending out this year...

I finally have a job where I don't have to work on the actual holiday! Whoo-hoo! Spencer and I stayed in Utah for all the holidays last year because I had to work all of them- needless to say, while we enjoyed each others company, we really missed being with our families! So this year has been so wonderful to go home to my family and plan our trip for Christmas to Spencer's house. My whole family was home for Thanksgiving and we had a blast! The food was amazing! We had a couple of Wii competitions- my family is about as competitive as they come- and we just really enjoyed all being together! Chase and Shayla came with Parker, and I am pretty sure I have the cutest nephew there ever was, and they are such great parents. Taylor came with his girlfriend Jen who kicked all of our butts at bowling- she fits right in... Chelsea was wonderful as always- and Channing gets bigger every time I see him- its hard to imagine him being a sophomore in High School. We made my mother's famous sugar cookies (they are Christmas trees with green frosting and red hots as the ornaments), did a little shopping, the boys played in a turkey bowl, and we all relaxed and just had a ton of fun! We love the Caldwell Family!!!

mmm...mmm...good!!!

I have got to spread the news... I have found the most AMAZING bundt cakes... Channing's Bundt Cake Factory in Provo has the most wonderful bundt cakes I have ever tasted! I am addicted. Its not good, but oh soooo good! You have got to try it out!

I got tagged...

Life-fixing classes
Devise a list of 5-10 courses you would take to fix your life. It’s more fun to be in classes with friends, so include one class from the person who tagged you that you’d also like to take.

Photography
I am always so inspired by photography! I love not only amazing photos of nature but candids and unique pictures of families, kids, babies, everything! I love to put pictures in my home that let people have a glimpse of what enjoy and what my life is like. I would love to take this class with Jules because she has such a creative eye!

Scrapbooking
I have always wished I was better about taking pictures and scrapbooking everything that I do! I would love to take all scrapbooking classes so that I could make beautiful books that I could carry with me for the rest of my life- one for the family, one for each of my children (when we have them) vacations... I could go on and on. I love doing creative and artistic things- I just never seem to have time to scrapbook, so I think a class would definately help me with that!

Sleep Strategies
I know this one is made up, but I have got to tell you that I can not even remember the last time I slept through the night. First of all, it takes me forever to fall asleep;I just lay in bed thinking a mile a minute about everything you can imagine. I toss and turn- and feel restless all night. If Spencer bumps me (as he frequently does- because he totally boss hogs the bed!! ;) ) I wake up and it takes at least a half hour to fall back asleep- if a light turns on I am up. I am kinda tired these days but you figure out how to make it work. So, I would love to take a class that would teach me how to relax and turn off my mind. Oh that would be wonderful!!!

Investment
Spencer grew up investing his money. I still get a little nervous about putting our money into stocks or Mutual Funds and things like that because I am not used to it, and am not sure that I trust our economy enough to actually see some decent returns. I would really like to learn more about investing and making your money "work" for you.

Cooking
I like to cook, and have fun doing it- when I have time! But I would love to take a cooking class so we could branch out from eating the same ten meals over and over. Its so hard when you are just cooking for two! Ohhhh, even better than just a regular cooking class maybe I would like to take a dessert making class! YUM!

A Happy Husband

My husband is a happy man!! We finally bought the truck that he has been dreaming of since he first got home from his mission. Its a black '08 Toyota Tacoma- four door, extended bed, sport edition. And let me just tell you, he looks so good in it! I am so glad we were able to get this for him and hope that it shows him how appreciative I am for all of the hard work he puts into everything he does! He is incredible! So, YEA for Spencer and his new truck!

Now he just wants to lift it a few inches, put bigger tires, get sweet rims... man, he has expensive taste! I am already looking forward to being able to take the family boat out whenever we want next summer, going camping, and having room to load up some furniture ( cause you all know me and how I am always finding something to make my house cute!) and of course to bring home the christmas tree in the back since Christmas is just around the corner now!
